Three major accidents take place in Bajali subdivision

PATHSALA, Jan 15: A major road accident took place on Sunday between a speeding i10 car wheeler and a bike at NH 31 near College Road, Pathsala in Bajali subdivision under Barpeta district.

Bidut Kalita was going from Nitya Mandir to Tihu in the i10 car with a girl. The car collided with a bike. The biker, identified as Dhiren Talukdar, was also injured. With the help of local public, the three injured were shifted to Swahid Madan Rawta Bajali Sub-divisiol hospital.

  Many incidents have been occurring at NH-31 lately, the most recent being an accident on Saturday night at NH-31 in Pathsala between a Scooty (AS 15F 8908) and truck (HR 38 SO 245) which left one dead and one critically injured. The deceased has been identified as Sital Medhi of Golagaon in Baska district and injured Rakesh Das works at Pathsala police outpost. Rakesh Das was admitted to Swahid Madan Rawta Bajali Sub-divisiol hospital, but due to his serious injuries, the doctors immediately referred him to GMCH for further treatment.

On Friday, another major accident occurred between a tractor and a bike at Rihabari in Bajali subdivision under Barpeta district which left 18-year old Ratul Kalita dead and another person seriously injured.
