Three meritorious students shine with 5th, 9th and 10th position in HSLC exam from Pathsala

PATHSALA: Pathsala, popularly known as the educational hub of Assam, once again won laurels in the field of education by bagging top three positions among the top ten rank holders (5th, 9th and 10th position) in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination, 2019.

Among the rank holders are Hirak Jyoti Choudhury (9th) from Pathsala Sikshapith Adarsha Vidyalaya, Uddipta Kalita (10th) from Pathsala Jatiya Vidyalaya and Phalguni Sarma (5th) from St. John School, Barama.

Hirak Jyoti Choudhury, son of Nilamani Choudhury and Anita Choudhury, resident of Pathsala, expressed happiness after securing position in the HSLC examination. He wants to become an administrative officer and he will now take up the Science stream in Pathsala. He secured 585 marks.

Tenth rank holder Uddipta Kalita said that he was sure he would get a rank in the examination. He also took help from his teachers with extra classes. He will pursue his higher secondary course in Bajali College in Pathsala and wants to be an administrative officer in future. He secured 583 marks.

Phalguni Sarma, daughter of Harekrishna Sarma and Mamani Bhattacharya, a resident of Pathsala got 589 marks. She secured 5th position and is determined to become a doctor. She wants to complete HS from Pathsala in any institution. “Regular study throughout the year is the key of my success,” she added. Her mother is a teacher in a school.
