Three NDFB (S) rebels bbed with arms

GUWAHATI, Feb 25: A joint team of Army and police today bbed three NDFB (S) militants in Baksa district.  Based on specific information about the presence of NDFB (S) militants involved in extortion and illegal arms dealing related activities, a team of Army and police launched a joint operation at Barimakha village near Mochalpur in Baksa district and apprehended the three cadres of the outfit with two AK-47 rifles, one 9mm pistol along with ammunition.

The detained rebels have been identified as Bhubneswar Boro (36) of Barimakha village under Barbari police station in Baksa district, Sarjib Basumatary (27) and Lepho Boro (30) of Dongpar village under Barbari police station in Baksa district. The detained three rebels were involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti-tiol activities, Army official said.  All three individuals have been handed over to Barbari police for further investigation.
