Three NDFB (S) rebels bbed

GUWAHATI/TAMULPUR , July 14: Acting on a tip off, Army and Assam Police bbed a rebel of tiol Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit (NDFB-Songbijit) at Surenderpur Ghat  area in Gossaigaon Sub Division of Kokrajhar district today.

The detained rebel has been identified as Sohan Basumatary. Two hand gredes and some 7.65 mm ammunition was recovered from him.  Army sources said he is a 2011 batch trained NDFB(S) cadre.

In a separate operation , Army and police apprehended two rebels belonging to NDFB (S) on Monday in Baksa district along Indo-Bhutan border.

The detained rebels have been identified as Bipul Basumatary (25) and Prafulla Swargiyari (30). One 6.75 pistol , one magazine and four rounds of ammunition were found on them.
