Three NDFB (S) rebels held in Chirang

Chirang, March 18: Army & Assam Police in a joint operation bbed three NDFB (S) rebels in Chirang district on Thursday. Acting on specific intelligence input, a joint team of Army and police apprehended one cadre and two linkmen with arms, ammunition and other war like stores in Chirang District on Thursday. The apprehended cadre and linkmen were involved in extortion and unlawful activities, an Army official said in a statement. In the wake of the upcoming Assembly Elections, Army and Police have enhanced their area domition to curtail the unlawful activities of various insurgent groups.
