Three NDFB(S) rebels bbed in Chirang

Bongaigaon, Jan 22:  Following previous information, Chirang district police along with Indian Army and 210 Cobra, launched an joint operation in Runikhata area of Chirang district at about 1.30 pm on Sunday.

 Talking to media persons, L R Bisnoi, IGP, BTAD, said that the operation was launched on the basis of intelligence input that some NDFB(S) cadres were taking shelter in the house of one Prahlad Mochahary, a resident of Thaisobari Laimuti area under Runikhata PS of Chirang district, which resulted in the apprehension of three NDFB(S) rebels along with ammunition.

“The rebels had been identified as Dhakaru Muchhary (29) alias Francis alias rkw, son of Roben Mochahary, a resident of Oxiguri village under Amguri PS of Chirang district, Kapilau Basumatary (25) alias Baithia, son of Willem Basumatary, a resident of Soraibil village under Kochugaon PS of Kokrajhar district and Birjoy Mochahary (28), son of Bhaben Mochahary, a resident of Galabari area under Sidli PS of Chirang district. One 7.65 mm pistol with two magazines, two live rounds, one country-made pistol with two rounds of live ammunition, two hand gredes, three mobile handsets and 11 SIM cards were recovered from them. Our interrogation is going on,” he said.
