Three poachers arrested, rhino horn recovered

PATHSALA, October 27: Three poachers were arrested by Bajali police and a rhino horn was recovered from them. They were trying to sell the rhino horn at Baghmara near Pathsala in Bajali subdivision under Barpeta district. Pathsala police said that the poachers were trying to sell the rhino horn to a customer for Rs 15 lakh. The poachers have been identified as Harimohan Boro, reswar Goyari and Sylvester Kujur, residents of Baksa district. Police brought them to Pathsala outpost and took them under police custody for further investigation. Police have sent the horn to the State Forensic Laboratory in Guwahati.
