JORHAT, NOV 18: At least three police quarters just in front of Police Sadar Station and fire brigade station turned into ashes after a fire broke out on Saturday due to short circuit. Property worth over Rs 15 lakh was destroyed, said fire brigade sources here. The incident occurred just 100 metres from the fire brigade station but due to ongoing construction of a culvert, the fire brigade could not reach on time for which three quarters of police constables on duty at the Sadar Police Station were destroyed
