Three students from Demow in HSLC merit list

DEMOW, May 31: The results of the HSLC and High Madrassa Examitions was declared on Tuesday where Barakha Khatiwara of Demow Lambudar Borgohain Sankardev Bidya Niketan School secured the 8th position, Romin Gogoi of Demow St. Mary’s School secured the 11th position, and Akhim Ranjan Borah of Demow Lambudar Borgohain Sankardev Bidya Niketan School secured the 16th position.

Barakha Khatiwar, student of Demow Lambudar Borgohain Sankardev Bidya Niketan School, scored 579 marks and secured 8th position, Akhim Ranjan Borah, student of Demow Lambudar Borgohain Sankardev Bidya Niketan School, secured 570 marks and came 16th while Romin Gogoi of Demow St. Mary’s School scored 575 marks and secured the 11th position.

After the declaration of the results, the teachers and students of Demow Lambudar Borgohain Sankardev Bidya Niketan School and Demow St. Mary’s School took out a procession with the three rank holders from Demow Modhupur to Demow Chariali and from Demow Raisai to other areas. The rank holders were felicitated by their teachers in their respective schools.

Taking with this correspondent, Barakha Khatiwara said that wanted to become a doctor. Romin Gogoi, who secured the 11th position, said that he aimed to be a scientist and he used to study for 8-9 hours every day before the exam.  Akhim Ranjan Borah, who secured the 16th position, said that he wanted to become a doctor and that he would take admission in Sivasagar Junior College.

The three rank holders were also felicitated by the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU), Demow Regiol Committee, All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Demow Regiol Committee, Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Demow Regiol Committee and Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Regiol Committee.
