Three students from Goalpara among top 20

Goalpara, May 31: Bringing a smile on the faces of the people of Goalpara, three students occupied positions among the top 20 in the HSLC exam, results of which were declared by SEBA on Tuesday. Ilias Bokhtiar of West Goalpara stood third, Karabi Devi of Dudhnoi stood 13th and Suraj Pratim Bora of Agia secured 15th position. Ilias Bokhtiar is a student from a remote village of West Goalpara, Foringapara and belongs to a teacher’s family. He studied in Foringapara High School. On the other hand, Karabi Devi is a student from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Dudhnoi . As the results were declared, people of the town thronged to her residence and congratulated her. Meanwhile, the successful result of Suraj Pratim Bora has made people in his home town Agia weep with joy. Suraj lost her police officer father Prabhat Bora in an accident only some months back. On Tuesday, he burst into tears remembering his father. Student organizations like AASU, AAMSU, DYFI and SFI and Goalpara Sahitya Sabha have congratulated the successful students.
