Three teachers get award on Teachers' Day

NONGSTOIN, Sept 5: Along with the rest of the country, West Khasi Hills District, celebrated the 55th Teachers’ Day with great fervor. MLA of Nongstoin constituency, D. Jyndiang graced the occasion as the chief guest, in the presence of E. Marngar Sub Divisiol School Education Officer (SDSEO) Nongstoin, R. Kongwang District School Education Officer (DSEO), and West Khasi Hills Nongstoin among others. Three teachers from West Khasi Hills were conferred with the District awards on the occasion of 55th Teachers’ Day celebration organized by the District School Education Office here at Bishop Hall Nongstoin on Monday.

The three teachers who received the awards for their outstanding contribution to the cause of education were Readingstar John Nongbri, Assistant Lecturer Malangko Government H.S.S, Shentis Diengdoh, Head Teacher, JJM Nichols Roy Memorial UPS Nongstoin and Yolinda Pangniang, Head Teacher Tynghor Government LP School.
