Three ULFA (I) linkmen apprehended in Tengakhat

DULIAJAN, June 9: In a specific input, a joint operation team of Tengakhat police and Tinsukia police arrested three ULFA linkmen of the Paresh Baruah faction from Tengakhat Matiakha under Bordubi Police station and Bor-laipuli under Tinsukia Police station on Wednesday night and Thursday morning respectively. According to sources, the team launched an operation on Wednesday night at Tengakhat Matiakha in two houses from where the team arrested two linkmen of ULFA (Independent), identified as Akon Gogoi alias Lakhyajit (55) and Subhash Gogoi (45). The operation team on Thursday morning, after confession of these two linkmen, succeeded in arresting another linkman, identified as Anupom Gogoi (37) from Borlaipuli under Tinsukia Police. The team also recovered five rounds of bullets from their possession.
