Three ULFA (I) linkmen arrested

MARGHERITA, September 22: Lekhapani Police in Tinsukia district arrested three ULFA (I) linkmen from Jagun area on Thursday.

Around 160 track suits, 70 sweaters and 30 track suits were recovered from the three ULFA (I) linkmen. According to sources, under the direction of ULFA (I) publicity secretary Arunodoy Dohatia, a recruitment drive was going in Myanmar and youths belonging to the age group of 16 years- 24 years of Tinsukia district were going to Myanmar for ULFA (I) training.

Acting on a tip-off, on Thursday Lekhapani Political arrested Sushil Gogoi and Sahabuddin Siddiqui from Jagun area and recovered 160 track suits and 70 sweaters from their possession. Again, Lekhapani Police arrested Dilip Phukan, a noted businessman of Jagun Parvatipur area, and recovered 30 track suits from his house.

Lekhapani Police also recovered a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration No AS 06 N 5288.A case number 118/2016 US 120(B) 121(A) 123 IPC R/W Section 10/11/13 has been registered.
