Three ULFA (I) rebels held

HOJAI, May 1: Khatkhati police and 8th Jat Regiment in a joint operation bbed three ULFA cadre from Balijan under Khatkhati police station in the Eastern Karbi Anglong District on Thursday. As per information, acting on intelligence input the 8th Jat Regiment and Khatkhati Police apprehended the three ULFA (I) cadre from Lalmati area of Bhalijan (Lahorijan). They were identified as Gautam Saikia (26) of Japralangso, Prab Borah (30) of Deopani Rongapara and Prasanta Harzarika (31) of Deopani. A .22 pistol, a magazine, some bullets recovered from their possession.
