Tibetan Home Minister meets Tuki

Itagar, June 9: Tibetan Home Minister Kalon Gyari Dolma met Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister bam Tuki and senior leaders of Aruchal Pradesh to apprise them about some of the pressing issues relating to Tibetan refugees living in the state, media reported. On June 5 last, Dolma met Tuki at his official residence here during which the latter endorsed ‘The Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy, 2014’, according to a report by the Tibetan administration run media. The report said “senior officials present at the meeting include Urban Development, Town Planning and Housing Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Speaker T N Thongdok and principle secretary home.”

The Tibetan minister “made an appeal to state government and also submitted a memorandum of grievances to the chief minister regarding the implementation of the Rehabilitation Policy and other related matters,” it said.

The minister also met Khandu and several MLAs at his official residence at Itagar on June 4 last.

Dolma was accompanied by Chhimey Rigzin, Additiol Secretary, Tibetan Settlement Officers and delegations of Co-operative Societies from Tezu, Tenzingang and Miao Tibetan Settlements.
