Tickets for SAG Games in on-line

GUWAHATI, Jan 18: Sports fans across India can now book their tickets on-line for the 12th South Asian Games, 2016 which will be jointly hosted by Guwahati and Shillong from February 5-16.

The Organising Committee for the Games has planned to sell tickets on-line for all the 23 sporting disciplines through its partner website www.ticketgenie.in along with Opening and Closing ceremonies. The tickets will also be available for sale at the ticket counters across all venues.

Preparations for the mega sporting event have already gathered pace with the date for the Opening Ceremony of the Games closing in. The 12-day sporting extravaganza will begin on February 5 with a grand Opening Ceremony at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai Sports complex. There will be two type of tickets for the iugural ceremony-Rs 250 for East stand and Rs 150 for North and South stands. On the other hand the price of tickets for closing ceremony at the Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium will be Rs 200 (East stand) and Rs 100 (North and South stands) respectively.

The entire 12-day event will witness a large contingent of intertiol athletes from eight participating tions battling against each other to establish their supremacy in 23 different sporting disciplines. Apart from iugural and closing ceremonies, tickets for six events- Kabaddi, Kho kho, Swimming, Tennis, Wrestling and Weightlifting now also available on line. Weightlifting and Kho Kho tickets will cost Rs 10 while prices of tickets for remaining four events will be Rs 20.The prices of tickets for other events along with the iugural function in Shillong will be announced shortly.
