Tiger hit by car in Demow

DEMOW, February 28: A tiger was hit by a car on Friday night in Demow Maskara in Sivasagar district. Demow does not have a forest so the tiger might have come from the tea garden area.  The tiger was 5-foot long and weighed around 70kg -80 kg.  In the presence of t forest department officials, the tiger was brought to Demow PS at night and early Saturday morning it was taken to the Sivasagar Forest Department Office.
