Tihar Bidai Samaroh held at Rangama village

UDALGURI, Nov 20: The Gorkha community people of Rangamakha village organized a one-day long Tihar Bidai Samaroh. The programme began with the hoisting of flag by Bhuban Adhikari, the president of Rangamakha Primary Committee of All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union. Keshav Bhattarai, the president of Rangamakha Bar Pipal Sanskritik Gosthi, was also associated with the programme. The tribute to the martyrs was paid by Jayanta Pathak, the general secretary of Rangamakha Primary Committee, AAGSU. Tree saplings were planted by Durga Pradhan, rendra Bajgain and Indra Subha. Hemen Choudhury, the general secretary of Rangamakha Bar Pipal Sanskritik Gosthi, lit a lamp. The competitions were conducted by Bimal Dhital, Laxman Upadhyaya and Sagar Khadka. The open session was presided over by Dipak Nirola, the secretary of Assam Gorkha Sanmellan, and iugurated by Bishnu Sarmah, the former headmaster of Golmagaon High School.
