Timber seized at Chirang

 Bongaigaon, Dec 3: A total of 122 illegal timber logs were seized on Saturday by an NGO called Anti-Corruption Crime Investigation Front in association with 54 Battalion of SSB. Rishiraj Brahma, State media president of Anti-Corruption Crime Investigation Front, said that they got information about these timber logs. “We, in association with SSB, immediately moved to the spot at Bhaoraguri area under Bijni PS and recovered the timber kept in the backyard of the campus of Zahidul Islam at about 2 pm today. Then we informed the forest department of Chirang and handed over the logs to them,” he said.
