Timber worth Rs 1 lakh seized

TANGLA, September 5: The 37 Bn SSB deployed at Bongrum, Brahkholi Border Outpost (BOP) seized illegal timber at No.2 Saglijhar area of Udalguri district on Monday in a joint hunt of SSB and forest officials of Noikhuti Forest range office. The market value of the timber is estimated to be nearly Rs 1 lakh. The operation was led by Inspector Gunindra Das of 37 Bn SSB and Range Officer of Noikhuti along with 13 troops.
