Tinsukia AGP gears up for Assembly polls

FROM A CORRESPONDENT

TINSUKIA, Dec 2: The Tinsukia AGP is gearing up for the Assembly polls to be held in April next year. The party sources said it will take the support of various social and non-political groups in the region.  The Tinsukia District Committee of the party recently held a meeting here to discuss about poll strategy. AGP president Atul Bora, who was present in the meeting, said that the popularity of the party is growing. “The BJP-led central government has taken anti-Assamese stand. So people of Assam now have understood the politics of BJP,” Bora said.  “We are holding discussions on how to go about in the election. As always, we will focus on the issues which will help in solving the problems of indigenous people,” said an AGP leader.
