Tinsukia bags best organized district award in NCSC

Doomdooma, October 18: Tinsukia district bagged the best organized district award in the recently concluded 24th State-level tiol Children Science Congress (NCSC) held at Dibrugarh University from October 13 to October 16. Diganta Bhajoni, District Coorditor, received the award on behalf of all. Out of 12 projects sent for the State-level NCSC, two were selected for tiol-level NCSC. Two child scientists selected for tiol level are Mrinmoy Sonowal, a student of Class VII of Dirak-Maithong Sarbajanin JE School and Sruti Rekha Gogoi, a Class VIII student of Phillobari ME School under Kakapathar education block. Tinsukia district received the same award last year also. The district-level NCSC was held this year at Saumar Vidyapith HS School, Digboi on September 14 and September 15 where as against 361 projects, 1,389 students from 205 schools participated in the event. The number of students, teachers and guardians who attended the NCSC was more than 4,000. On the other hand, 368 project-in-charge teachers participated in centrally organized academic workshops held at Sadiya, Doomdooma, Tinsukia and Digboi. Abdul Jelil, Inspector of Schools, Tinsukia District Division and Education Officer, District Elementary Education, congratulated all those associated with the NCSC.
