Tinsukia Congress protests fund cut by Centre

TINSUKIA, May 12: The members of Tinsukia Block Congress Committee today took out a protest rally here protesting  Centre’s decision to curtail various development funds to the State. Participating the protesting rally Chabua MLA , Raju Sahu said that the BJP-led government at the Centre which rode to power with the promise of bringing ‘achche din’ made a ‘U-turn’ and curtailed various development funds to the State, suspended the incentives under the North East Industrial Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIPP), posing hurdles in implementation of the tiol Food Security Act. Tinsukia MLA RP Singh, Tinsukia Zila Parishad president Meera Singh also joined the protest.
