Tinsukia DC seeks detail report on implementation of development schemes

DOOMDOOMA, Oct 24: Even after withdrawing  the entire amount from the District Authority,  the works of the MLA- Area Development schemes of 2012-13 have not yet been implemented and further,  the scheme  of 2013-14 is also left half done without submission of utilization certificate(UC), voucher, photo, physical progress report of the schemes to the District authority.

A complaint to this effect was lodged with the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia by local MLA Dilip Moran recently.

Meanwhile, Additiol Deputy Commissioner (ADC) has written to Sushil Saikia of Koomsong T.E. of Kakopather under whose residentship the construction committees were authorized to implement the said projects. As is evident from the letter, four schemes belonging to the year 2012-13, mely, one community hall at 1 No. Rumaigabharu Kharia basti at Koomsong ,  Staff Line  and Cultural Centre at Tingamira T.E. near Tingamara Church and Community Hall at Kakopather forest gate near voday mghar  have not been implemented so far although the entire amount has been withdrawn from the district authority.

On the other hand, the scheme of Construction of the room at Assam Chutia Student Union of 2013-14 has been half-done although an amount of Rs. 1.50 lakh has already been withdrawn for the purpose. Against this scheme, too, no utilization certificate (UC) has been submitted to the authority.

In a strongly worded letter wriiten by the ADC to the president of the Construction Committees, Sushil Saikia, stated, “This kind of attitude in execution of Govt. sanctioned scheme is a serious offence as misappropriation of Govt. money and pelty would be imposed against the President, Construction Committee so constituted for the purpose as per rule.”

In the same letter Sushil Saikia has been asked to complete all the schemes and submit a detailed up to date report with all necessary documents within a week without fail.
