Tinsukia district administration to launch plantation drive

TINSUKIA, May 9: As part of Green Tinsukia programme, Tinsukia district administration with assistance of Assam Police, Army, ITBP, CRPF, various government departments and NGOs will launch a day-long massive plantation programme across Tinsukia district on Tuesday from 9 am. While 25 locations have been identified in Tinsukia town and surrounding areas which include schools campus and roads, elaborate arrangement has been made to cover all bypasses and forest reserves, besides roadsides of rural areas in the district.
