Tinsukia district’s lacklustre performance, no remarkable milestone in HSLC results

TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia district could not achieve any remarkable performance in HSLC results which was declared on Wednesday, though it maintained close to the State’s overall percentage.

Out of 11,426 students who appeared from 23 centres, only 6,309 cleared the examination. While rural and semi-urban centres like Borhapjan, Dirak, Pangeree and Saikhowa performed better than urban centres, Saikhowa centre recorded 86.35 per cent pass percentage. Two centres in Sadiya- Government HS School and Ujani Sadiya HS School -showed poor performance. Among the urban centres, Doomdooma Bongiyo Vidyalaya centre recorded 77.91 per cent while Borguri High School centre showed the lowest pass percentage in the district.
