Tinsukia railway division wins best overall efficiency shield

Tinsukia, April 17: For the first time in the history of formation of Tinsukia division, ‘Best Overall Efficiency Shield’ amongst five divisions of N.F.Railway has been awarded to Tinsukia Division by General Mager, N.F.Railway in a glittering 60th Railway Week function held at Rang Bhavan in Maligaon in Guwahati on Thursday, stated a press release.

Tinsukia division performed exceedingly well during 2014-15 and could achieve all major targets set for the year 2014-15 and therefore 5(five) “efficiency shields” in Accounts, Electrical Security, Operating departments and in Wagon depot were awarded to Tinsukia divison. Moreover “Engineering shield, S&T Shield and Personnel shield have been jointly awarded to Tinsukia division with Katihar, Alipurudar division. Also Dibrugarh Hospital of Tinsukia division bagged the “Best Family Welfare Centre shield” and Dibrugarh(Banipur) station of Tinsukia division bagged “Best Kept Station shield”.

Moreover 14 staff members of different branch have been awarded cash prize and citation for their outstanding performance during the year 2014-15 along with three group awards.

 In a programme held at Rang Bhavan, Maligaon on April 16, R.S.Virdi, General Mager, N.F.Railway gave away the prizes to award winning staff and officers. On behalf of the Tinsukia division, Aneet Dulat, Divisiol Railway Mager, Tinsukia received the “Best Overall Efficiency Shield” from General Mager, N.F.Railway.

It may be mentioned that the 60th Annual Railway Week Awards are given away every year to divisions and individuals in recognition of their outstanding performance and achievement in various fields.
