Gohela Boro to be airlifted to New Delhi for treatment today

KOKRAJHAR, April 7: The tiol Games, 2015 gold medalist in archery Gohela Boro of New Amguri, Kokrajhar, who has been bed ridden for the past six months because of serious would be flown to New Delhi on Saturday for advanced treatment under the initiative of ABSU and Discovery Club, a local NGO. Boro was admitted to RN Brahma Civil Hospital on Wednesday and is being treated.

The condition of the tiol archer deteriorated as she hardly take food for last couple of days and was likely to collapse.

A local teacher, Khargeswar Brahma who went to see hospital to take stock of her health condition, doted his blood. She is subsequently getting well today. Many well-wishers have visited the hospital to inquire into her health and extended their generous contribution.

Sources from the ABSU said necessary initiatives have been being taken up for taking her to New Delhi for advanced treatment. The ticket for patient, family members and NGO members have been taken and likely to be airlifted on Saturday at 2 pm, sources said adding that the district administration, Kokrajhar and NRHM, Kokrajhar have also taken urgent initiative for fincial help.

Sources also said the Chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary who is already in New Delhi has also asked the party to take extend support for taking her to New Delhi immediately and assured to take the responsibility for her treatment. BTC EM of Sports and Youth Welfare, Doneswar Goyary has already extended fincial support from his own recently.

State Forest and Environment minister Pramila Rani Brahma visited the RN Brahma Civil Hospital on Thursday and met the patient and family members. She also ensured that every step would be taken for her treatment in Delhi. She also assured that the BPF will take fincial responsibility and other arrangements.
