tiol Deworming Day iugurated

Silchar, Aug 11: The second  round of tiol Deworming Day (NDD) was iugurated at Tarapur Girls ME School on Thursday by the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, S Viswathan, IAS. DC Cachar advised school going children about the need and importance of cleanliness. He also laid emphasis on the need of washing hands both before and after meal. In his iugural speech, Suman Choudhury, district media expert of tiol Health Mission, spoke at length about infestation of worms which leads to malnutrition and aemia.

 Among others present at the iugural function included ADC Rajib Roy, joint DHS  Dr S J Das, DPM Rahul Ghose and others. Paramita Saha, head teacher of the school extended the vote of thanks. Later, the guests distributed Albendazole tablets among the students.
