tiol Education Day observed

DIMAKUCHI, November 11: Along with the rest of the country, Dimakuchi region too celebrated tiol Education Day (NED) on Friday to mark the birth anniversary of Independent India’s first education minister and freedom fighter Abul Kalam Muhiyuddin Ahmed Azad, known as Maula Abul Kalam Azad, who served the country from 1947 to 1958. Under Khoirabari Education Block and with the help of Dimakuchi CRC comprising seven schools, tiol Education Day was observed at Dimakuchi ME School under Udalguri district. The day started with a floral tribute to the first education minister of India by B.E.E.O. Khargeswar Boro. S.I. of schools, Dimakuchi Circle, Bhumi Dhar Boro and chief guest Ghateswar Barua, lecturer of Tangla College, also were present in the programme. Competitions were held on sports and literature. A rally was organized by convener CRC Dimakuchi, Dhrubajyoti Sharma and the teachers of the schools.  All the students took part in the programme which ended with an open meeting and prize distribution ceremony.  Students of Dimakuchi TE LP School, under the guidance of Deep Teli, assistant teacher, took part in the event.
