tiol integration tour flagged off

TINSUKIA, Dec 26: A 12-day tiol integration tour for the students of Charaideo and Dibrugarh districts of Assam and Tirap district of Aruchal Pradesh was flagged off by Major General Gajendra Singh, GoC DAO Division at Dinjan Public School on Tuesday.

A total of 27 students and two teachers from three districts are participating in the tour. While flagging off the tour, the General said the tour would not only widen intellectual horizon of young minds but also further deepen the spirit of tiol integration. The programme was attended by senior Army officers, teachers and students of various schools. A cultural programme depicting rich and varied diversity of Assam was part of the ceremony.

Aimed at giving an exposure of the vast and rich cultural heritage of the country, the students, besides interacting with President of India, Ram th Kovind, and Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat, will visit important places like Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
