tiol Integration Week concludes at BCPL

Dibrugarh, Nov 26: The tiol Integration Week (Qaumi Ekta Saptah) which is celebrated tionwide in order to foster and reinforce the spirit of commul harmony, tiol integration and pride in vibrant composite culture and tionhood from November 19 to November 25, successfully concluded at Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL), Lepetkata.

This occasion provided an opportunity to reaffirm age-old traditions and faith in the values of tolerance, coexistence and brotherhood in a multi-cultural and multi-religious society. The celebration was iugurated by BCPL, Maging Director, Ashok Kumar Singh, in presence of Director (Fince), OP Tailor and other senior officials of BCPL on November 19.

BCPL observed Quami Ekta Week, 2016 with various programmes like discussion session on ‘Welfare of Minority and Linguistic Harmony’. The session was addressed by Dr.Sajeed Ahmed Associate Professor, Surgery of Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh. Various activities for children like drawing competition with the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’, Go as you like competition on commul harmony/costumes of different States of India/ community of India’ was also organized.

A discussion session on ‘Importance of Women in Indian Society and their role in tion building’ was also organized on the occasion. The session was addressed by Associate Professor, Department of English, D.H.S.K.College, Dr Madhumita Purkayastha. On the concluding day, a number of trees were planted at the BCPL township.
