tiol level squash meet in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Nov 11: Assam Squash Rackets Association will organize All India Ranking Brahmaputra tiol Squash tourment at the RG Baruah Sports complex here from November 16. Assam Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal will iugurate the meet.
Addressing a media gathering the president of the Assam Squash Rackets Association and MLA of Hojai Shiladitya Dev today said,” We are expecting around 160 players, including 47 from Assam, in the championship.  The total prize money of this 3 Star category competition is around Rs  4 lakh and the competition would be held in u-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 along with men and women. 
Dev is also optimistic that the meet will help to promote this game in Assam. 
“Earlier we don’t have good infrastructure of this game. However after the SAF Games now we have intertiol level squash courts in the city. I belief this event will not only help to promote the sports but also help to find more young talents in the region,” said Dev.
The working president of the Assam Squash Rackets Association Anup Choudhury and a few other office bearers were also present in the media briefing.
