tiol Safety Day observed

mrup, March 5: Along with the rest of the country, Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) observed tiol Safety Day 2018  on Sunday  here at APL’s emergency assembly point with great enthusiasm. Synchronizing with the current year theme “Reinforce positive behaviour at the workplace to achieve safety and health goals,” the said programme mainly aimed at workplace safety by bringing safety awareness among the employees. The programme started with the wearing of safety badges which was followed by hoisting of safety flag by D. Kakati, GM (HR) with the presence of top employees and officials of APL in the morning hours. 

Speaking on the occasion, Kakati by highlighting the significance of tiol Safety Day underscored the importance and necessity of following safety measures at the workplace as well as in every walk of life. To mark the occasion, an open session was held where K. Saharia, Mager (IR&LE) administered the safety pledges. Besides, representatives of APWU and APLOA briefly spoke on the occasion. The very programme rounded off with vote of thanks by Jayanta Buragohain, Asst. Mager, Safety.
