tiol Science Day observed

Duliajan, March 1: The tiol Science Day was observed on Saturday with a day-long programme at the premises of Tingri Jatiya Vidyalaya, organized under the aegis of Duliajan Branch of Assam Science Society.

In the programme, teachers, guardians, students, employees and science lovers took part. Dr.Likhon Chandra Borah, Associate Professor of Physics, Duliajan College elaborated about the significance of the day in the meeting. Hemanta Das, Associate Professor of Sociology, Duliajan College and Ankita Baruah, Associate Professor of Education, Duliajan College delivered  a lecture on the topic ‘Scientific mentality and impact of electronic material among students’.

A drawing competition, essay competition, extempore speech and poster-writing competition was held among the students. The objective of the meeting was described by Dr. Jitumoni Dutta, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Duliajan College and the meeting was chaired by Suresh Borah, retired professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Duliajan College.
