tiol semir and career guidance programme held to train students

DIBRUGARH, March 19: tiol Youth Entrepreneurship Development Programme (NYEDP) for the NSS Officers and career guidance for HSC/SSC students , organized by the Rajiv Gandhi tiol Institute of Youth Development Programme (RGNIYD), Government of India,  in association with ICT Academy of Tamil du, Cheni, was held here at DHSK Commerce College recently.

The tiol-level career semir was aimed at identifying and training young students in schools across the country while career guidance programme was held to help students in pursuing their career. The iugural meeting was presided over by the Principal of the college Dr KM Bhagawati.

Attending the function as chief guest as well as the resource person of the Carrier Guidance Programme , Assistant General Mager, Research Publications, ICT Academy of Tamil du, rendraji, in his speech emphasized the need for such career guidance programmes which he felt , “very effective in meeting the career developmental needs of students”.

The semir also addressed the three broad competency areas involved in the career development process which were self knowledge and self–awareness, educatiol and occupatiol exploration and decision –making and career planning.

Chartered Accountant Mukesh Bukhradia , Assistant Professor of the college, Jecob Konwar also attended the semir as resource persons.

Speaking at the NYEDP for the NSS officers, rendraji stated that this training programme had provided a global platform to budding entrepreneurs of both urban and rural areas to face the challenges of being entrepreneurs. He hoped that the training programme would help the future generation of the country to shape their dream organization.

More than 500 students from Little Flower Higher Secondary School, St Mary School of Dibrugarh and New Vista English School, Duliajan along with their respective faculties attended the career guidance programme. Around 32 NSS officers from different colleges of the State also attended the training programme.

Earlier, Assistant Professor of DHSK Commerce College and programme coorditor of both the programmes,  Keshabanda Haloi welcomed the guests and all participants
