SHILLONG, Nov 13: A tiol semir on ‘Women and Religion in India: Status and Quest for Liberation’ was held in Shillong on Friday. Addressing the semir Prof P Shukla former Vice Chancellor of North Eastern Hills University (NEHU) said that religions must be tolerate and women should be given due respect. The semir was organized by Synod College, Shillong. Prof Manorama Sharma and Dr Saifun Nessa also participated in the semir.
