tiol semir on intellectual property right held

KOKRAJHAR, May 25: The Intellectual Property Right (IPR) Cell of Bodoland University (BU), Kokrajhar, organized a tiol semir-cum-awareness programme on ‘Intellectual Property Right’ recently in the semir hall of the Department of Mathematical Science (Alongbar Science Building).

The programme was iugurated by Dr. Sekhar Brahma, Registrar of Bodoland University who attended the programme as the chief guest, and presided over by Dr. K. Priyokumar Singh, Coorditor of IPR Cell, BU, as the president. Many distinguished resource persons like Dr. Ranjit Kumar Brahma, Nodal Scientist, Shiddhartha Devth, Scientist C Patent Information Centre, ASTEC, delivered lectures about Intellectual Property Right (IPR) and its significance in the semir.

 Panchali Brahma, Law Officer, Bodoland University and Dr. Z. Khiyangte, Assistant Professor, Bodoland University presented their talk on the topics ‘Intellectual Property Right (IPR)-a basic outline’ and ‘Traditiol Knowledge Intellectual Property Right’ as the invited speakers of the semir in the second session of the semir. Nearly 120 participants of teaching faculty members, research scholars and students from Bodoland University and other institutions of BTC joined the semir. The semir was sponsored by Assam Science Technology and Environment Council and Bodoland University, Kokrajhar.
