DEMOW, Sept 18: A two days UGC sponsored tiol semir on Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Rural Development: Prospects and Challenges in North East India was held in Nitaipukhuri Hem Chandra Deb Goswami College (HDGC) recently. It was organized by the Department of Political Science of the College in collaboration with Block Development Office, Demow. Dr. Sanjib Borgohain, Principal of Nitaipukhuri Hem Chandra Deb Goswami College (HDGC) presided the meeting during the discussion of the tiol Semir. The UGC Sponsored tiol Semir was iugurated by Dr. Amiyo Kumar Das, Professor of Sociology in Tezpur University. On the first day of the tiol Semir the professor, students of Nitaipukhuri Hem Chandra Deb Goswami College (HDGC), Bipin Dutta, President of the Governing Body of the College, Phuleswar Handique, an educationist along with other dignitaries were present.
