tiol semir on urbanization

Silchar, August 14: An University Grants Commission (UGC) sponsored tiol semir on ‘Urbanization and its importance in today’s world with special reference to north east India’ will be organized by Department of Economics, Nehru College, Pailapool, in collaboration with S M Dev College, Lakhipur, on August 17 and 18. The semir will be held in the premises of Nehru College. P Zidung, director, department of higher education, Assam, will be the chief-guest on the occasion. Dr. Purnendu Kumar, principal, and Dr. P Rajbihari Singh, associate professor, department of Economics, of Nehru College will be the chairman and convener of the semir respectively. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Amar Yumm, department of Economics, Manipur University, and Indranil Deb, associate professor, department of English, Nehru College.
