tiol semir on youth and adolescence problems held

KALIABOR, Dec 4: The Department of Education of Kaliabor College organized a tiol semir sponsored by ICSSR on ‘Youth and Adolescence Problems in Present Social Context-Role of the Teacher, Parents and Society’ recently.

Prof. Hari Prasad Sarmah, Rector, Gauhati University  offered the key note address in the iugural session as distinguished guest and Dr. HK Chaliha, Principal of Kaliabor College, presented the welcome address. Nilutpal Deka, Advocate, Gauhati High Court,  Deepshree Phukan, Clinical Psychologist of  Lokapriya Gopith Bordoloi Regiol Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur (LGBRIMH), Dr. Dulumoni Goswami, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Gauhati University, Prof. Jagat Sawrgiary, Department of Education, Gauhati University, Dr. Kushal Kr. Tamuli, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry of LGBRIMH, Dr. Anjali Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Tezpur University and Dr. Mukul Saikia, Darrang College were the resource persons and chairpersons in the semir.

A good number of participants from different colleges of Assam presented their papers in seven technical sessions and out of them 86 participants presented research papers in the semir. As the topic of the semir was socially relevant in the present context, a lot of interaction took place among the participants. Dr. Anjali Sharma and Dr. Mukul Saikia remained as guests in the valedictory session. Prof. Gopal Mili and Dr. Pradip Mochahary of Kaliabor College anchored the programme, and offered key words of semir and vote of thanks in the valedictory session respectively.
