KOKRAJHAR, July 3: The 11th tiol Senior Tchoukball championship is going to be organized by the All Assam Tchoukball Association (AATBA) and Tchoukball tiol championship at  Joypuri Bodofa Youth Club, Golaghat from September 25 to 27, 2017.

Talking to reporters, Ashok Goyary, General Secretary of the All Assam Tchoukball Association (AATBA) said that the 11th tiol Senior Tchoukball Championship will held at Golaghat and the same would be organized in 20 states like Goa, Kerala, Bihar, Uttakandh, Punjab, Delhi, Maharastra etc. and including Assam will participate in the Championship. He said that a total 40 teams including 20 teams’ ofr men and 20 teams for women are going to participate the tiol Senior Tchoukball championship and more than 700 players and officials will come from outside the states.

Goyary said that Tchoukball game was recognized by the Sports Federation of India (SFI) and 20 states are playing these games in the country and it is also recognized in school games. He said that the Tchoukball game came in Assam in the year of 2007 as there was no interest of Tchoukball games in Assam and it was resumed in 2015 under the leadership of Ashok Goyary and now it has been spreading in over Assam.
