DIGBOI January 28 : The 6th tiol Voters’ Day (NVD) was celebrated through out msai District with huge participation and enthusiasm mostly comprising the young voters, youth and college students.
The BLOs of all the 90 polling station in 3 Assembly Constituencies within msai district also celebrated the said significant Day at their respective polling booths where NVD pledge was administered.
NVD was also celebrated in ERO and AERO Headquarter at Chowkham, Lekang, Lathao and Piyong in a befitting manner.
Meanwhile, the District level programme organized at DC office complex, msai wherein addressing huge gathering of HODs, school students, teachers and NGO representatives, R.K. Sharma, the Deputy Commissioner Cum DEO, msai highlighted the aims, objectives and underlined the significance of the tiol Voters Day.
Sharma apprised about the program of the Election Commission of India for inclusive and qualitative Electoral participation. In his speech he appealed all sections of people specially youth of 18-19 years age group to enroll as elector to build a stronger democracy thus exercising the constitutiol privilege for the healthy growth of Democracy in the country.
