TINSUKIA, June 1: A UGC sponsored tiol workshop will be held on Traditiol Knowledge (TK) at Tinsukia College on August 29 and August 30 under the aegis of Department of Zoology. Being held for the first time in Northeast India exclusively on various aspects of TK, the workshop has been collaborated with Citrus Research Station (AAU) and EdEn, an environmental NGO, and will cover different sub-themes like agriculture, sericulture, health care system, veteriry, fisheries, forestry, architecture, handicrafts, dyes, IPR and patent. The workshop is expected to draw participation of researchers, practitioners, policy makers from India and abroad. The conveners of the workshop, Dr Rupali Gogoi and Dr Rishi Das have called upon interested participants to log on to the college website- tinsukiacollege.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Dr Debjani Roy, former Director Centre for TK system IGNOU and currently adviser THPS Quality Council of India, will deliver the key note address.
