tiol Youth Day observed in gaon

GAON, January 12: North Eastern Development Council for Human Resource (NEDCHR) observed tiol Youth Day with a day-long programme on Tuesday at its head office premise in gaon town.

The voluntary organization organized a special discussion under the topic’ What should the youth do in the present society’. Social worker Tapan Sarma graced the occasion as the chief orator and urged the youths to expand their will power and also appealed them to change their present attitude so that they could face life in a positive way. Legal advisor Kumkum Mahanta, while taking part in the discussion, said that the youth should be aware of all aspects of Indian laws. In the discussion, Dr Pulen Chandra Laskar, Dr Ranjit Das, social workers like Montu Saikia and Kamakhya Sarma were present as invitees. Hundreds of youth from various parts of the district took part in the discussion. Earlier, youths  led by general secretary Dr Jayanta Prashad Sarma planted sapling on some roads and areas of the town.
