Tiwa bodies stage protest

JAGIROAD , July 14: Different organisations representing Tiwa commulity in Morigaon district took out a massive protest rally at Mayong in the district on Monday in support of their various demands including inclusion of remaining tribal domited villages of Tiwa Autonomous Council area , publication of correct voter list and holding autonomous council polls in the three constituencies of  Kamrup (M) district. The rally was participated by the activists of All Tiwa Students’ Union (ATSU), All Tiwa Women Association , Tiwa Cultural Society, Autonomy Demand Committed and Karbi Students’ Union. The protesters sent a memorandum via Mayong Circle officer.
