Tiwa Jatiya Aikya Moncha dissatisfied with Tiwa Autonomous Council

MORIGAON, March 18: The Tiwa Jatiya Aikya Moncha has decided to boycott the Congress. This decision was taken at a special convention organized by the leaders of the central committee of various Tiwa organizations of middle Assam at the District Library auditorium in Morigaon.

A meeting under the presidentship of Dharma Singh Bordoloi was held. In the meeting,Tulsi Bordoloi, chief advisor of Tiwa Jatiya Aikya Moncha, spoke on the present scerio of the Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC). Ramakanta Deuri, former CEM of TAC said that the present council was under the control of the ruling Congress party.  He said, “We are confident that the Tiwa people will elect actual leaders from 30 constituencies for the formation of new committee of TAC in the forthcoming election,” The meeting was also attended by Paban Manta, Mak Bordoloi and Khagen Bordoloi.
