Tiwa organizations burn MLA's effigy

MORIGAON, Oct 29: Activists of All Tiwa Students’ Union (ATSU),Tiwa Yuba Chatra Parishad (TYCP), All Tiwa Woman Association (ATWA) and All Tiwa Protection Committee (ATPC) on Saturday burnt the effigy of MLA Ramakanta Deuri for allegedly using his political power to interfere in the Tiwa Autonomous Council’s work. The organizations under the leadership of Dharmashing Bordoloi, president, ATSU, Ratneswar Dewri, general secretary, TYCP, Sijoy Dewri, general secretary, ATPC, and Juli Mithi, general secretary, ATWA along with more than 30 activists burnt the effigy of Ramakanta Deuri at Morigaon town.
