To acquire knowledge, quality education is necessary: Baba Ramdev

Tamulpur, Nov 20: “Man cannot become great and wise by birth. To acquire knowledge and to be great, good and quality education is necessary. So Patanjali Yogpeeth has given importance to providing proper knowledge and education by establishing educatiol institutions throughout the country,” said Baba Ramdev on Monday at Kumarikata Patanjanli Yogpeeth while participating in the iugural programme of Acharyakulam and world-class seed centre bhumi puja at Kumarikata Belkhuti village under Tamulpur subdivision in the district of Baksa.

The meeting was led by Acharya Balkrish. Addressing the people, Baba Ramdev said that the environment of Assam was suitable for agriculture and Patanjali wanted to develop Assam as well as the Northeast in agriculture and education. Baba Ramdev again said that with the seed centre, people would get world-class seeds for cultivation and would be able to produce more crops and increase their income. Addressing the public meeting, he added that within a year Patanjali centre had been able to manufacture 25 lakh Dant Kanti toothpaste daily to meet the need of the people of the country and he also advised people to avoid other toothpastes.

He asked local people to cultivate lemon trees to control the atrocity of wild elephants. Baba Ramdev said people of Northeast were offering land for Patanjali Yogpeeth, which is not seen in the other parts of India. Sadhu Gautam Brahma alias Beerth also addressed the meeting.

Adressing the meeting, MP Rajya Sabha Biswajit Daimary, Deputy EM of BTC, Khampha Bargoyary, CEM of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Rahang, and MLA Emanuel Mushahary also addressed the meeting. BTC EM Ganesh Kachari, Deben Boro, MLA Bhabesh Kalita, Maneswar Boro, Thaneswar Boro, MCLA Bijit Goura rjary, Dharmarayn Das, representative of Bhutan State along with local intellectuals and dignitaries were present in the meeting. Baba Ramdev showed some yoga postures and prayam and encouraged people to do these regularly for good health. Before attending the meeting, Baba Ramdev participated in the bhumi puja of the seed centre.
