'Today’s News is Tomorrow’s Trash’: Priyanka Chopra

Actress, Priyanka Chopra, who is replaced by Katrina Kaif for “Bharat” due to “Nick of time” as was hinted by the director Ali Abbas Zafar, has been in the news for her relationship with Nick Jonas. She is currently dogged by engagement rumors with American singer Nick Jonas, says her personal life is not for the public to know and she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation. Last month, on her birthday, she was seen with her family and beau Nick Jonas. The beauty was at its charming self that day. A lot of stories are doing rounds as much as the speculations are. For all possible reasons, such speculations give birth to rumours. But the beauty queen turns a blind eye towards it.

The “Quantico” star said that she doesn’t take gossips and trolls seriously, unless it’s something that affects the sentiments. Priyanka said at an event on Monday, “My entire life, especially my personal life… Everything about me is not for public consumption. 90 per cent of my life is for public consumption, but 10 per cent of it is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. “Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I get annoyed… But mostly, I tell my publicists ‘Let it be, today’s news is tomorrow’s trash’,” She has been in the midst of rumours that she has got engaged to Jonas, who is 10 years younger than her. Her decision to opt out of Salman Khan’s Bharat added fuel to the speculation. Priyanka said that she doesn’t think she needs to defend or explain anything when it comes to her family, her relationships, equations with people and decisions.

“I’m not running for office, so I don’t owe anyone an explanation,” she quipped during an interactive session titled ‘Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths’ organized Jointly by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) and Yes Bank. On a lighter note, when she was asked if she has met US President Donald Trump, Priyanka said: “I haven’t.” Would she like to meet him? “It doesn’t move my world around if I meet him or not… I’m not going to make an effort.”

It goes without saying that Priyanka Chopra knows what she should and shouldn’t; and what she is up to. Nothing can hinder her progress, but yes, as goes the universal truth, good vibes and positivity can surely boost her morale. This diva has made us proud a number of times, now this is our chance to reciprocate our love with peace and being less judgmental.
